No matter how pretty or friendly your rooster is, because HERE IS WHY: Hens will lay eggs (for food) and roosters do not LAY EGGS and are not as valuable as egg producing hens

Let me EGGSPLAIN: You bought your chicks somewhere else, FROM ANOTHER BUSINESS and you ended up with unwanted roosters? Right? And you want me to take your UNWANTED rooster for free, and for me to GIVE YOU A FREE HEN? 

Or, you buy younger chicks under ages 10 to 12 weeks old There is a greater chance of getting an accidental rooster before it can be determined if its a boy or a girl (rooster or a pullet) 

We tell people this fact and to buy ONLY HENS if they want to be sure to get hens ONLY LAYERS

( I keep telling myself that people just can't be this IGNORANT about  raising chickens!, I guess that I am wrong! - LOL) 

AND SOMETIMES ROOSTER OWNERS ARE "OFFENDED" THAT I DO NOT TAKE THEIR COOP FULL OF UNWANTED ROOSTERS FOR FREE!!! AND THEY STILL WANT  A FREE HEN!
